The Advocacy “Big Event” – Wellbeing for Advocates

23 November 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Following the success of The Advocacy “Big Event” for the last 3 years, The HOPE Advocacy Project are excited to welcome The Welsh Adult Advocacy Sector to this event for the fourth year running.

The fourth session of a series of four sessions- we will be focusing on different ways in which advocates can care for their own well-being , which is imperative for us as its vital to keep our own cup full. whilst fulfilling roles to support others.

The HOPE Project are excited to welcome:

Robin Ranson, Senior Health Improvement Practitioner for BCUHB NHS Wales kicking of the session by looking at the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and discussing the benefits of physical activity.

Tamsin Fretwell – Gardening and your well-being- Would you like to connect more deeply with the cycle of the seasons, whilst growing lovely, organic fresh food. Forget any thoughts of not being “green fingered” and lets explore how can grow in any space from window sills to allotments, with limited time.

Emma Sims, Holistic Therapist– Will be ending the event with this beautiful 40 minute session, you will learn about how hand reflexology may help to bring balance to the whole body. Emma will show you how to apply pressure to various points of the hand and talk about the parts of the body that the points correspond with. Hand reflexology can be relaxing and in Emma’s personal experience quite powerful.. It is a great tool for self-care.
