Parents & Carers Virtual Advice Session from Neurodivergence Wales

February 12 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

About the Session
Lisa is a neurodivergent parent within a neurodiverse family. She is also a family-facing professional with over 20 years of experience. Her understanding was shared in a recent publication exploring the nuanced risk factors associated with perinatal mental health and ADHD.
For this session, Lisa will be drawing upon her own journey as a neurodivergent person, parent and practitioner to speak about how neurodivergence can affects family life, offering insight into the unique hurdles encountered, as well as the strengths discovered on the way.
Topics covered in the session will include: managing diverse needs within the family; how to avoid burnout; managing conflict. The session will feature a range of practical tips and strategies that parents can use to support the various members of a neurodiverse family (particularly themselves).
