How to Manage Stress and Anxiety – online event

12 May 2021

The DPJ Foundation has organised free, on-line wellbeing sessions for people who work in agriculture in Powys or are in roles that support the farming community in Powys.

The sessions are funded by the Welsh Government via the Powys Teaching Health Board and are for anyone working in or with the farming sector in Powys. You could be a farmer, from a farming family, or work for an organisation supporting farmers such as health, teaching, a statutory agency, a vet, a farm supplier, local business, auction or charity.

Poor mental health has a significant impact on the farming community. In recent surveys, only 55% of farmers said they felt mentally fit enough to farm. 85% of young farmers said poor mental health contributed to safety issues on farms.

It is common for many of us to experience stress and anxiety. With the right tools and strategies you can learn to manage stress and anxiety so it doesn’t affect your day to day life. This session will equip you with some practical tips for managing stress and anxiety and put you on the path to better mental health and wellbeing.

Starting at 6.15pm
